The Greater Bay Area Education Heritage Trail Photo Challenge and Lucky Draw Event, co-organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region, has officially kicked off and will run until Sept 16.
This high-profile cultural tourism event spans the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. A notable highlight is the Yang Family Great Ancestral Hall in Xiangzhou district of Zhuhai, Guangdong, which is the only site [JS1] from Zhuhai to be included among the selected locations.
The event features 20 cultural heritage sites in the Great Bay Area, inviting participants to explore historic academies, famous school sites, and educational relics. This journey promises to offer a unique cultural dialogue across time, capturing memories and enriching the spirit.
Participation involves three simple steps: selecting a check-in level (basic, intermediate, or advanced), completing photo tasks at chosen sites, and sharing the photos on social platforms with specific hashtags. Participants then upload their photos and social media screenshots for verification to enter the lottery automatically. Winners will be announced on Sept 23 on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cultural Tourism Information Network.
Prizes include an exclusive "Guangzhou Joy Bag" designed specifically for the audience and athletes attending the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games and a cultural gift pack from Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, along with surprises like mascot blind boxes and fridge magnets inspired by the heritage sites.
[JS1]The phrase “check-in” is not used liked this in English. You check in at a hotel or an airport, not scenic spots.
