The final of the 11th 'Maker China' Guangdong SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, also known as the 10th 'Maker Guangdong' Competition, concluded in Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong province on Aug 27. Guangdong Mellow Energy Technology (Mellow Energy), a local enterprise based in Xiangzhou, claimed the second prize in the enterprise category.

Held from April to August under the theme "Maker Guangdong, Innovate for the Future", the competition attracted over 4,500 project entries, including more than 500 enterprises. Following 10 city-level contests, 11 thematic competitions and nine provincial semi-finals, 27 projects advanced to the final round. Investment and financing institutions, along with leading industrial enterprises, were engaged throughout the entire process, with project matchmaking activities running in tandem with the event.

Aligned with Guangdong's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) industrial layout and manufacturing-oriented development strategy, the competition established nine dedicated tracks covering key areas of the province's strategic pillars and emerging industries, including artificial intelligence and robotics, biomedicine and health, and low-altitude economy and commercial aerospace.

This marks the third time Xiangzhou has hosted the provincial final of the competition. As the core engine of industrial innovation in Zhuhai's central urban area, Xiangzhou leverages its well-established innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to pool high-quality innovation resources and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
