On September 5, 2026, Huafa MSCE started the fourth planting season under the theme of Chinese and Foreign Families Jointly Build a Vegetables Garden. Ten local and expat families joined the event and each got a piece of land by lot drawing, embarking on a new six-month journey of farming and harvesting.

On the day, the event began with the drawing of lots to determine the participating families and their corresponding plots. After the draw, the new "land owners" unleashed their creativity and designed garden signs for their plots. Each sign—vivid in color and unique in style—not only added charm to the garden but also carried each family's hopes and personal touch for their little patch of land.

After that, the families headed to the garden together. They collected tools and got to work clearing plots, turning the soil, and fencing off their garden boundaries. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy—some bent down to weed, some swung hoes to loosen the soil, and others used bamboo fences to mark out their own garden spaces. Everyone pitched in, each busy with their own task, and the joy of working together was felt all around.

Mayra from Ecuador shared, "This is my first time joining the activity. I'm so happy to have a piece of land in the city where I can grow my favorite vegetables—it's really a rare opportunity. I can't wait for the harvest!"

The activity offered local and expat families a chance to step away from their busy work schedules, get back to nature, and enjoy the pleasures of farming and the rewards of harvest. It also served as a bridge for cross-cultural communication, bringing residents closer and fostering a stronger sense of community.
