The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of China's four major traditional festivals along with the Spring Festival, Qingming Festival and Dragon Boat Festival, carrying the cultural meanings of reunion, peace, and happiness. Mooncakes, the most iconic food of the festival, symbolize both longing for loved ones and the Chinese culinary wisdom of "eating with the seasons."
