Parkside Mall, a redeveloped retail complex at the heart of the Gongbei border area in Zhuhai, a city in South China’s Guangdong province, drew more than 2.54 million visitors in the first month of operation, achieving a total revenue exceeding 100 million yuan ($14.7 million).
The Greater Bay Area Education Heritage Trail Photo Challenge and Lucky Draw Event, co-organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region, has officially kicked off and will run until Sept 16.
In the 1990s, during the wave of reform and opening up, Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai pioneered the construction of a coastal scenic route—Lovers' Road. This scenic route, reflecting the spirit of reform, has become a symbol of the area.
Beishan village in Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, was recently recognized as a provincial-level tourism and leisure block, the only such awardee in the city.
