A comprehensive emergency drill was conducted on the west line of the Xingye Expressway's northern section on Oct 27, marking one more step towards the project's completion.

Currently, the electromechanical system of the project is being debugged to ensure that the west line will be operational in November. The construction of the east line of the Xingye Expressway is also progressing at full speed, and the southern section is progressing according to plan.

Upon operation of the west line, the expressway will run from downtown Zhuhai to the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan). More specifically, it will stretch from the intersection of Yingbin North Road and Meihua Road to its end point at the Gaoxin Interchange. 

After all three sections of the expressway are completed; it will connect with the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, the Gaoxin Interchange, and northern extension of the Jinqin Expressway. The expressway then be further extended to connect with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, becoming an important node in Zhuhai's road network.
