Xiangzhou holds groundbreaking ceremony for 53 key projects

Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, witnessed a groundbreaking ceremony on Feb 20, as 53 key construction projects with a total investment of 61 billion yuan ($8.6 billion) were launched for the first quarter, which marks the commencement of the district's economic development for the Year of the Dragon.

Li Weihui, Party secretary of Xiangzhou district, emphasized the district would build 283 key projects in 2024, totaling 433.3 billion yuan, and the district aims to achieve a 6 percent year-on-year growth in fixed asset investment to promote Zhuhai's high-quality development at the occasion.

Regarding industrial development, Xiangzhou is poised to accelerate the advancement of technological transformation projects, aiming to invest 2 billion yuan in this endeavor. Furthermore, the district is dedicated to the timely completion of infrastructure projects, the facilitation of livelihood development initiatives, and the swift introduction, establishment, and production of industrial projects. These efforts are geared towards achieving an annual added value target of 16 billion yuan.

Xiangzhou is also committed to actively contributing to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, facilitating real economic growth, and spearheading advancements in scientific and technological innovation.
