A new commercial street has opened in Xiangzhou, marking a milestone in Xiangzhou's urban development.
The Zaobei Commercial Street, located in the Qianshan subdistrict, is a critical project under the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project" initiative. The street spans approximately 125 meters and covers an area of 14,000 square meters. The recent renovation included the refurbishment of 50 shops and the addition of 15 new ones, along with 234 parking spaces, charging stations, and public restrooms.
The commercial street now hosts over 60 businesses, with an occupancy rate exceeding 90 percent, and nearly 50 shops are already open, achieving a 70 percent occupancy rate. The transformation of Zaobei Commercial Street preserves its historical essence and introduces innovative upgrades in functionality and environmental optimization. The goal is to create a diverse commercial area that integrates culture, leisure, entertainment, and commerce.
The Zaobei Community will collaborate with the Zhuhai Xiangzhou Zaobei Shareholding Cooperative Company, the street's management, and businesses to sign the "Zaobei Commercial Street Operation and Management Convention." This agreement aims to enhance drainage and sewage systems, regulate business operations, and ensure fire and gas safety. Establishing a long-term management mechanism will consolidate the renovation achievements and promote the development of the collective economy.
