In Zhuhai's Xiangzhou district, the newly transformed Xiangshan Lake Park has become a beacon of urban rejuvenation and ecological harmony. Spanning approximately 604,000 square meters, the park is a testament to Xiangzhou's commitment to preserving natural landscapes while providing a serene retreat for residents.
The park's development was executed in three phases, each meticulously designed to enhance the area's natural beauty. The first phase, covering 302,000 sq m, includes the addition of lush greenery, an artificial lake, and a 2.2-kilometer jogging path. The second phase, with an area of 163,000 sq m, includes slope restoration, lake dredging, and the addition of scenic walkways and pavilions. The final phase, encompassing 139,000 sq m, continues the park's tradition of integrating Lingnan cultural elements with modern amenities.
Xiangshan Lake Park is more than just a green space; it's a cultural and recreational hub, perfect for strolls along tree-lined paths, bird watching and interacting with local wildlife, among other activities. The park also features traditional Lingnan architecture, including bridges, pavilions, and corridors, which blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
Accessibility is a key feature of the park, with thoughtful design considerations for the elderly, children, and individuals with disabilities. The park offers wide, flat paths, accessible restrooms, and other amenities to ensure a comfortable visit for all.
