High-tech manufacturer Guangdong Osnav Industry held a ceremony on Nov 11 to mark its move to the Sanxi Sci-Tech Innovation City Development Center.

The strategic move aims to strengthen collaboration with Xiangzhou's strategic industries and contribute to the development of new quality productive forces.

Founded in April 2020, Guangdong Osnav is viewed as being a pioneer in silicon photonics-sensing technology – dedicated to building comprehensive industrial platforms across land, sea, air and space.

The company focuses on research and development in various fields – including unmanned mobile platforms, mobile robots, drones, autonomous driving and underground mining.

Its key products include high-precision, low-cost fiber optic gyroscopes and inertial navigation systems.

To date, Guangdong Osnav has submitted over 20 invention patents, covering core technologies and processes related to fiber optic gyroscopes. The patents provide robust intellectual property protection for the company.

After three years of intensive research and development, it's said to have  established a leading domestic production line for micro-nano integrated fiber optic gyroscopes and silicon photonic chip fiber optic gyroscopes. As a result, it’s generating sales revenue topping 50 million yuan ($6.9 million).

In 2024, Osnav received an Excellence Award in the Disruptive Technology Competition, organized by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
