The Xiangshan Culture & Arts Center, integrating Baidao Academy, Xiangzhou Library, and Xiangzhou Cultural Center, was put into use on Jan 10. Xiangzhou now adds another distinctive cultural landmark, further enhancing the quality and effectiveness of public cultural services.
Nestled against the Xiangshan Lake Park, the Xiangshan Culture & Arts Center combines the diverse cultural attributes of Zhuhai with the oriental charm of traditional Lingnan gardens. With a total construction area of 54,800 square meters, the area has over 50 other service facilities, including multi-function lecture halls, cultural exhibition halls, and reading rooms.
According to the staff, from 2:00 pm on Jan 10 to 9:00 pm on Jan 12, the center received more than 20,000 visitors, issued 1,327 new reader cards, and had 3,723 books borrowed and returned.
In recent years, with the strong support of the municipal government, Xiangzhou has been committed to promoting the high-quality development of public cultural services. It regards the construction of cultural facilities as an essential carrier of public services development.
The Xiangshan Culture & Arts Center's debut shows Xiangzhou's determination to create a cultural treasure house that fulfills people's aspirations for a better cultural experience.
