On March 30, a kite festival took place at the beach of Haitian Park, where seven kite teams from Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, and Dongguan gathered on Lover's Road, presenting a mesmerizing visual spectacle for the locals.
At the event, Guangdong provincial intangible cultural heritage inheritors and their disciples showcased the making of Lingnan-style kites, offering kite-making workshops using traditional bamboo and bamboo strip craftsmanship for attendees to learn new skills.
In the family interactive area, parents and children enjoyed DIY cartoon graffiti kites together, experiencing the joy of flying kites with the wind. The breathtaking stunt kite formations left the audience in awe.
A volunteer awareness campaign was also conducted, inviting citizens to participate in garbage classification games. Participants could win eco-friendly gifts like kites and hand fans featuring garbage classification symbols, enhancing environmental awareness through interactive experiences.
