On May 12, Zhang Huiyang, head of Xiangzhou district, led a team to Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park to focus on the integrated circuit (IC) industry.

The delegation visited APEXMIC company and a local semiconductor company to learn about their operations and encourage market expansion within the ecosystem of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.

At a meeting with nine key semiconductor and IC companies and industry association representatives, Zhang discussed market trends, development strategies, funding, and talent acquisition.

Zhang thanked the companies for choosing Xiangzhou and emphasized a collaborative effort to build a billion-dollar IC industry. He highlighted the importance of talent, capital, technology, and market integration, urging government and businesses to work together.

The district plans to establish an industry fund and improve the business environment, including housing and employee education. Efforts will focus on attracting key IC companies to enhance the supply chain and market influence.

Zhang affirmed Xiangzhou's commitment to providing comprehensive support and services, reinforcing its role in the Greater Bay Area's IC market.
