On June 21, 2025, Huafa MSCE started the third planting season under the theme of Chinese and Foreign Families Jointly Build a Vegetables Garden. A total of 10 Chinese and foreign families from the UK, the USA, Egypt and Macao China joined the event and got a piece of land respectively by lot drawing. They will plant a new batch of crops in the next six months.
On the day, the event kicked off with a random draw to decide the 10 families and their corresponding plots. Then Christine, a previous plot owner, presented a unique gift, some rosemary/thyme salt made with the herbs she got from the previous planting, to the new owners, wishing them a good harvest in the new season.

After the draw, the participants exerted their creativity and designed garden signs for their plots.

Then, Chinese and foreign families came to the garden, picked up the tools, cleaned their plots and made fences, fully immersed in the joy of labor. Some were fencing the land, some rolled up their trousers and put on gloves to start weeding, and some were swinging hoes to plow and loosen the soil. Everyone was doing their own job and having a great time.

Mo from Egypt said: "Finally I got the chance to be here for the planting this time. It’s amazing to have a little field, plant healthy things you like, and enjoy the fun of farming in a downtown area. I can’t wait to see my vegetables growing up!"

Christine from the UK said: "I’m so happy that I got the chance to plant here for another season! I made some rosemary/thyme salt from the herbs I planted previously, and shared it to the new owners today. I hope everyone will have a good harvest this season!"
