Recent surveys conducted by Xiangzhou government showed that many companies struggle with concerns like fear of cross-border data sharing, insufficient data skills, and uncertainty about data value. To tackle these challenges, Xiangzhou district brought in experts and industry leaders to offer solutions and insights.
On July 4, the event themed "From Compliance to AI Enhancement: Exploring Cross-Border Data Flow in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area" took place to provide practical solutions and technical assistance.
Wu Haotao, deputy district mayor, emphasized the need for companies to move from just understanding policies to ensuring safe operations and from knowing technology to practical application.
The event featured discussions and tours, providing detailed case studies and a direct view of data technology applications. More than 70 industry representatives from sectors including IT, big data, cross-border e-commerce, consumables, and smart manufacturing participated to explore future trends.
Xiangzhou plans to further improve policy guidance and support services, focusing on helping companies unlock data value through compliance and capitalize on innovative opportunities through intelligence, contributing to the high-quality growth of the regional digital economy.
