On July 18, the inaugural ceremony of the Zhuhai Xiangzhou AI and Robotics Industry Alliance was held at the Xiangshan Culture and Art Center.

The alliance elected its leadership, with Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment Company appointed as the inaugural chairman unit. Policies regarding the development of the AI and robotics industry and network security were discussed, emphasizing technological advancement and industry insights.

A credit granting ceremony was held at the event, during which Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and Postal Savings Bank of China provided a total credit line of 20 billion yuan ($2.8 billion) to the alliance.

Bringing together nearly 100 top research entities, innovative firms, and professional institutions within the district, the alliance focuses on industry collaboration, tech breakthroughs, and ecosystem development. By fostering collaboration and innovation, the alliance aims to enhance industry competitiveness and technological capabilities.

It also promoted the widespread application of AI in smart manufacturing, smart cities, smart healthcare, and smart finance by publishing real-world applications, organizing supply-demand matching activities, and developing demonstration projects, accelerating the integration of AI and robotics with the economy.

Zhang Huiyang, head of the district, highlighted Xiangzhou's efforts to build a diverse industrial system, with a focus on AI, robotics, and aerospace. By fostering new industries, Xiangzhou aims to drive economic growth and industrial transformation.
