Shixi Park has reopened with a fresh look, blending nature, culture, and leisure. The park, rich in Zhuhai's history and culture, has been carefully renovated and optimized, making it a new urban landmark.
Located north of Meihua Road in Xiangzhou district, next to the Gu Yuan Museum of Art, Shixi was originally known as "Water Gate". The name came from two giant rocks standing on either side of a stream, resembling an open gate. In the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the renowned calligrapher and poet Bao Jun engraved the characters "Shixi" on a round stone, giving the place its current name.
The recent upgrades have enhanced the quality of public spaces. It is now an ideal spot for residents to relax and enjoy the natural and cultural beauty of Zhuhai.
