On Sept 9, the launch ceremony for the 2nd Zhuhai International Dexterous Manipulation Challenge took place at Zhuhai Model Space. During the event, Zhang Huiyang, the head of Xiangzhou district, warmly invited the global community: "We sincerely invite talented individuals from around the world to gather in Xiangzhou this October in the beautiful autumn season to participate in this grand event and witness the splendor together!"
This year's event will be held at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center from Oct 29 to 30. The competition features a prize pool worth millions of dollars and expects to attract over 20 top teams from both domestic and international locations, including Tsinghua University, University of Hong Kong, University of Liverpool, and Dobot Robotics. Participants will compete at the forefront of technology. The event not only offers a high-level technical contest but also highlights Zhuhai Xiangzhou's strong commitment to fostering the rapid growth of the artificial intelligence and robotics industries.
This year's event has been improved from its first edition. All tracks follow the "application-oriented" principle, with four key highlights designed to stand out. It offers not only an engaging display of robots' dexterity but also allows participants to experience firsthand how intelligent technologies are deeply transforming the future of human work and daily life.
Highlights of the Event
• Strong policy support: Offer comprehensive investment connection and precise landing services for award-winning projects that settle down, helping enterprises take root quickly and grow without concerns.
• Full scene opening: Focus on supporting landing projects that are part of Xiangzhou's urban renovation and improvement plan. This provides real-world scenarios for innovative technologies, helping to speed up their iteration and expand their market reach.
• Deep ecological empowerment: Utilize the "Modular Space" industrial highland and the AI and Robotics Industry Alliance to connect the full resource chain and foster collaborative innovation across industry, academia, research, and application
