Xiangzhou district in Zhuhai city, South China's Guangdong province, hosted diverse cultural, tourism, and sports events during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival period.

Robust consumption from Hong Kong and Macao residents driving north was a prominent feature of this lively scene. According to data from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port border inspection station, more than 110,000 single-plate vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao entered and exited via the Zhuhai port from Oct 1 to 5:00 PM on Oct 8.

The high visitor traffic spurred a wealth of cultural and tourism activities and a consumption boom. The Colorful Lantern Carnival held at the Yuanmingyuan New Park attracted 164,000 visitors, while the Sante Cableway attracted 53,000 tourists with National Day music flash mobs.

Major commercial districts also capitalized on the holiday opportunity, organizing a diverse array of events and offering special promotions to boost visitor traffic. Zhuhai Incity Plaza organized cultural experiences such as Yingge dance performances and cultural workshops.

Cultural services added vibrancy to the spiritual and cultural lives of citizens and tourists. Libraries in Xiangzhou district received a total of nearly 17,000 readers during the holiday. Meanwhile, performance venues such as the Zhuhai Grand Theater and the Huafa&CPAA Grand Theatres collectively held 4 performances, serving a total of 3,630 citizens and tourists.
