Xiangzhou district convened a meeting to advance the Joyful Nanwan Resort project and held a signing ceremony for a cooperation letter of intent.

The project will receive approximately 400 million yuan ($55 million) in investment. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026, with operations expected to start in 2027.

The Nanwan area covers a land area of approximately 80.1 square kilometers. It possesses rich and diverse commercial and cultural tourism resources. However, these resources are spatially scattered, and there is a lack of effective connection between daily leisure scenarios and the area's cultural tourism resources.

Nanping town will make use of the area's scattered cultural tourism resources to holistically shape the Nanwan area into a regional cultural tourism brand. By combining water entertainment, agricultural experiences, winter sports, leisurely vacations, jungle adventures and more, it will create a new Nanwan resort landmark that blends culture and tourism and operates year-round.

A micro-circulation bus route connecting the Nanwan tourist service center, historic blocks, commercial areas and scenic spots will be launched, and personalized travel service routes will be introduced.
