The pre-competition training for the youth robot contest of the Second Zhuhai International Dexterity Challenge and Embodied Intelligence Industry Conference has concluded recently.
Young contestants from over 40 primary and secondary schools in Zhuhai gathered to solidify their foundations in robot programming and operation through a combination of theory, practice and group reinforcement.
At the beginning of the training, instructors gave detailed explanations of the competition's rules and scoring criteria. The programming instructor used vivid case studies and engaged directly with contestant, transforming abstract programming knowledge into easily understandable content. Afterwards, the contestants began the hands-on robot building session in pairs. During the final sprint stage, they adjusted and optimized their programming code under the guidance of their instructors and moved to the simulated competition arena for training in realistic scenario manipulation.
