Beishan village in Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, was recently recognized as a provincial-level tourism and leisure block, the only such awardee in the city. With a history spanning over 780 years, the village showcases how cultural heritage and contemporary creativity can blend seamlessly.

Home to 108 historical structures, including the grand Yang Clan Ancestral Hall (a provincial-level protected site), Beishan has transformed from an ancient settlement into a dynamic modern village. By revitalizing old buildings and integrating cultural elements, it follows a development model combining culture, tourism, urban life, people, and industry.

Since 2007, Beishan has attracted social enterprises to promote organic renewal and artistic innovation. Today, it hosts over 230 businesses, from local brands to global cuisines, and has become a hub for red culture, international music, and youth exchange.

Beishan Village is not just a window into history but also a living example of Chinese modernization, demonstrating how traditional villages can thrive with vitality and global appeal.
