During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday (Feb 15–23), Xiangzhou district in Zhuhai lit up the season with more than 100 cultural and tourism activities. It combined the Year of the Horse celebrations with Lingnan folk traditions, offering five main programs for all ages to create an immersive holiday atmosphere.

The tourism market experienced a surge. According to incomplete data, popular attractions along Lovers' Road attracted 2.57 million visits over the course of nine days, with visits from Chinese New Year's Eve to the seventh day increasing by 20.6 percent year on year.

A-level scenic spots welcomed over 220,000 visitors, with Beishan village drawing 390,000 visitors — an impressive 101.1 percent increase. On the third day of the Chinese New Year, daily reached a peak of, setting a new historical high.

Cultural performances added strong momentum. Zhuhai Opera House, Huafa & CPAA Grand Theater, and other venues staged eight high-quality shows, while Xiangshan Cultural & Art Center hosted 22 events that attracted 14,000 attendees. Zhuhai Performing Arts Group also presented traditional opera excerpts and children's dramas at Jiuzhou City and Yuanming New Garden.

Parks and scenic areas were equally lively. Seaside Park's "Fairy Tale Carnival" and Xiangshan Lake Park's "New Year Circus" attracted 250,000 participants combined. Meanwhile, Beishan's folk celebrations, Yuanming New Garden's Lantern Carnival, and Meixi Memorial Archways' intangible cultural heritage fair displayed the rich charm of Lingnan's New Year traditions.

Throughout the holiday, Xiangzhou hosted daily festivities and lively celebrations across the area, elevating its reputation as a dynamic cultural tourism destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
