The third Lantern Festival parade lit up Nanping town in Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, on March 1, bringing residents together.

The procession featured drum performances, dragon and lion dances, and the beloved "God of Wealth" distributing blessings, creating a lively, festive atmosphere. At the main venue, a live band, an entertaining "Ji Gong" (a legendary ancient monk who defended people against injustice) performance, interactive sharing of tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings), and children's dances added warmth and vitality to the celebration.

This year's highlight was the participation of international residents from countries and regions including Kazakhstan, Denmark, and Canada. They walked with local neighbors, waved fans, filmed the performances, and took part in the festivities. One Canadian resident said, "This is a Chinese festival, but it's also a festival for all of us."

Blending tradition with international engagement, the event showcased cultural inclusivity and neighborhood unity across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
