Guanghehui, the commercial complex within Zhuguang International Building, opened for trial operations on May 31, drawing huge crowds and injecting fresh vitality into the consumer market at Gongbei Port in Zhuhai.

From early morning, long queues formed outside the mall as shoppers eagerly awaited its opening. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, visitors flooded into the complex. By 9 pm, the mall had welcomed more than 160,000 visitors, with around 15 percent coming from Hong Kong and Macao, highlighting its strong appeal to cross-border consumers.

Covering 63,000 square meters, Guanghehui is part of the 180,000-sq-m Zhuguang International Building project, which integrates retail, hospitality and office functions. The mall features over 120 merchants spanning entertainment, retail, dining and family-oriented services. More than 60 percent of the brands are new or first-store concepts, including Zhuha's first Super MINISO flagship store and several brands from Hong Kong and Macao.

The mall has also introduced tailored services for cross-border visitors. As a flagship store serving travelers from Macao and Hong Kong, Hema Fresh offers on-site seafood processing, supports major Macao payment platforms and provides 30-minute delivery services. Its first-day sales exceeded 1 million yuan ($147,542).

To further enhance customer convenience, Guanghehui has established a dedicated Hong Kong and Macao Service Center offering Cantonese-language assistance, customs guidance and policy consultation. These services help create a seamless shopping experience and strengthen connections between Zhuhai and Macao under the growing trend of regional integration.
