Three Zhuhai-Macao inspection ports, including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Hengqin and Qingmao ports, implemented three optimized "cooperative inspection, one-time clearance" measures at midnight on Aug 18.

Approved by the National Immigration Administration of the People's Republic of China following consultations between the Zhuhai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection of the PRC and Macao's Public Security Police Force (CPSP),  these measures will enhance the passenger clearance experience and facilitate personnel exchanges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Specific measures are as follows:

Allow Hong Kong and Macao residents greater flexibility in choosing travel documents. The Hong Kong-Macao identity card, mainland travel permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents (non-Chinese citizens) and home return permit are all accepted, achieving one permit (license) for all border crossings.

Expand express lane access to holders of one-year multiple-entry People's Republic of China exit and entry permit with prior registration.

Open Hengqin's joint one-stop lane to eligible foreigners and Taiwan residents after registration. The lane has cut average vehicle clearance time from eight minutes to under ninety seconds.

Travelers are advised to complete registration in advance and may dial the 12367 service hotline for policy inquiries.
